My main interest lies with preventative medicine; it is the core of my practice. That is why I believe that the partnership between the physician and the patient is key to great healthcare and I welcome that with my patients.

Biography

Dr. Akpofure received an undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH earning a Bachelor of Science in biology. She earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University School of Medicine & Public Health in 2005. Dr. Akpofure completed a residency program in Family Medicine at MacNeal Hospital in Berwn, Illinois.

Board-certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Akpofure is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

She is a family medicine specialist associated with MacNeal Hospital serving patients in Westchester and throughout Chicago.
