Biography
A native of Chicago, Dr. Vickie Becker conducted undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana. She received her medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine and completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Dr. Becker conducted independent clinical research as a student. She also worked with underprivileged and gifted children. Prior to medical school she completed graduate education and was granted certification as a Medical Technologist MT ASCP. She has been on the Clinical Laboratory staff at several prestigious hospitals including Harrisburg Hospital and Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania and Rush-Presbyterian-St Luke’s Medical Center, Loyola Hospital and MacNeal Hospital in Illinois. Dr. Becker also served on the medical staffs of Gottlieb Memorial Hospital and Humana Medfirst and was a solo practitioner. Dr. Becker’s special areas of interest and expertise include women’s health, vein sclerotherapy, scuba diving health issues, and hospice care. She also enjoys mentoring medical students in the hospital and her office. A mother of three, her hobbies include medical illustration, oil painting and cross country skiing.
Dr. Becker is an internal medicine specialist associated with MacNeal Hospital serving patients in Westchester and throughout Chicago.
